Welcome to the Summer Disco Picnic on Saturday, July 13th! After two years of planning and overcoming logistical hurdles, we're thrilled to finally fill the gap left by the departure of the Barbican and the cancellation of the beloved Walthamstow Garden Party!
This pilot event aims to start small, with ambitions to grow gradually each year. If you're unaware of the funding challenges we've faced, you can read about them in the Waltham Forest Echo article by clicking on the 'getting our summer festival back' thumbnail below. To make this pilot event a success, we're relying on local sponsorships from the University of Portsmouth, Central Estates, and Pillars Brewery. However, we still need to close a small funding gap, and your support is crucial.
We hosted a fundraiser on Saturday, June 29th, at the Pillars Brewery tap room which helped a little but if you weren't able to attend, please consider donating whatever you can to our fundraising page. Even a small contribution could make a significant difference in keeping this festival free for all attendees. Our determination to provide free admission aligns with our ambition to make this event accessible to everyone.
If you can't donate online, signing up for our mailing list is an invaluable way to support us. A larger following strengthens our chances of securing future funding and enables us to directly communicate with our supporters as this project evolves. We have ambitious plans for the future, and there are already thrilling developments in the pipeline that you won't want to miss so dont forget to hit that ‘subscribe’ button.
STOP PRESS! We have just added an after party to proceedings on Sat 13th July at Walthamstow's infamous Trades Hall. The event kicks off at 8pm and goes till 1am so you now have a place to go to as soon as the festival finishes! Click on link below to see details and check out which DJs will be playing as they are confirmed.
